Welcome to Lava Latin Rhythms

One of the "Hottest" Latin bands in the entire San Francisco Bay Area is Lava Latin Rhythms. Our different sytles of Latin music range from Latin Jazz, to Latin Rock, to Latin Funk, to Cha-Chas, to Mambo, and taking things over the top with Salsa!

Lava has had the privilege of opening for the following recording artists. Malo, El Chicano, GQ, Bonnie Pointer, Pete Escovedo, Sheila E. and Lenny Williams, former lead vocalist of Tower of Power! Lava is also diligent in covering Santana, Malo, Poncho Sanchez, and Pete Escovedo amongst other top Latin recording artists

Lava features Mio "Timbalero" Flores on Timbales percussionist extradonaire, he has either worked with, collaborated with, or been on tour with Santana, Malo, Pete Escovedo, War, and Los Mocosos who opened up for Santana on the 2004 Santana Shaman Tour. His fire on Timbales makes the band live up to their name, Lava!!!

Our direction is to put on a performance by playing music that you'll enjoy listening to, with the hope that the music will move your spirit to dance, as many others have found their way to our performances, only to find themselves dancing their way home!!!
